A common loon swims in front of a low, rocky island on a calm, smoky morning on Upper Kananaskis Lake. Haze from the wildfires to the west was thick in the mountains and often hid the mountains that ring the lake.
This little clay angel lives on one of our bookshelves. Although she lives within reach of my kids, we haven’t had any accidents with her involved, which is a small miracle on its own. She was lit beautifully through a south facing window in the afternoon which made for a pretty easy photograph. A nice, calm scene to enjoy.
I am preparing entries for the Travel Photographer of the Year contest and reworked some of my images from Inle Lake in Myanmar that I made in February.
Very good people I met on the water. I look forward to the next encounters I have on Inle somewhere down the road.
