Winter on Cascade’s Eastern Flank

 

The morning sun provided dynamic light on the slopes and ridges on the eastern side of Cascade Mountain in the Banff National Park.  Another chapter in the long running story of light and shadow.

  1. Beautiful. You really give the photo a sense of vastness. That may seem like an odd word but when I take a partial mountain it often seems to reduce the size of it.

  2. Christopher I like the contrast between the edges of the snowy white cliffs and and the rock behind it, plus the receding cliffs behind that, all helped with the narrow DOF. Strong photo.
