Welcoming autumn into the trees

I admit that I don’t want to let go of summer. Living in Alberta, the seasons often change quickly in September. Following a rainy couple of weeks, we are firmly into autumn in the Bragg Creek area. I went out a couple of times this week to surround myself in the colors of the season and let them remind me of the beauty that comes around this time of the year. This stand of trees captured the transition from summer greens into the golds that dominate the foothills. The splash of red from the wonderful tree standing in front was stunning. The overall scene felt like the welcome to fall that I needed.
