In flight

This great gray owl was hunting in a field near Grand Valley Road a couple of weeks ago. On one of the glides between perches above the grass, she flew towards me and landed on a ranch gate behind me.

    I am curious how the owl maneuvered around the blue object or whether it perched on it.

      Hi Jane – it glided over it and then flapped a couple of beats quickly to lift up to a ranch entrance behind me.
