Around an amphitheatre at the zoo

We went to the Calgary Zoo a few days ago and we had a great time having a guided tour by our children through all of the areas. During one of their breaks, Kezia and Kian played around the outdoor theatre while mom photographed the zebras and dad photographed them.

Nice effects. How did you do it?

Hi Angelina,
The motion blur in the first image results from using a longer shutter speed and then panning with my daughter as she ran past me.
The black and white was created in Adobe’s Lightroom using the Split Toning panel. I set a dark gold for the highlights and a blue-gray for the shadows and then go back to the Basic and adjust the black, exposure and fill light sliders to create the look that I want for an image.
If one of the effects you are asking about is how did I make the kids so cute – that is due to their mother – no post processing required 🙂
Cheers,
Chris
