A day on the hill

I had a great time skiing at the Fernie Alpine Resort today with my wife and our nephew Jacob.   The hill has been attacked by the snow demons relentlessly for the past four days and was in superb shape.  It was the first time Bobbi and I made it out on the snow this year and we were well rewarded.

Rescue sleds outside of the Bear Chair Ski Patrol Hut

We didn’t need these sleds today but it is always great to know the patrollers are there when the planks and the rider attached get themselves into a bad spot.   I took some photos of the surrounding mountains as the sunlight shot in and out of the clouds but I really like the composition of this photograph.
