Backyard blue jays
The home isolation as the world buckles down is hard. We are very fortunate to live in a forest so the time at home affords the opportunity to watch the trees and the wildlife that lives in it. These blue jays come by a couple of times a day. I’m sure I’ll be sharing more from my backyard for a while to come. Be safe, be isolated and find hope.
They are such pretty birds.

Bluejays have such bravado and I adore seeing them. I agree it is hard; we, too, have access if not to a forest at least surrounding hilly woodlands and mighty river. Walks are the best thing, being outdoors frees, uplifts and instructs us. I know you miss travelling and finding much more, but appreciative that you continue to contribute your photos!

At last, a benefit of the virus: you have more time for photographing and posting your stunning locale.

A small one but I find myself trying to enjoy the silver linings.

Your post brought a smile to my face. Yesterday afternoon a pair of jays held court from the blossoming plum tree in my Vancouver backyard. Wished I had some peanuts for them.
