Evening night morning in the Valley of the Ten Peaks

A good friend and I went up to Moraine Lake at the beginning of June. We photographed from dusk into dark, crashed out for a couple of hours and then shot the sunrise. These are a few of the photographs as the time rolled by.
Into the night…

Rising with the sun…

Beautiful light and mood with the changing light. Were you further up the lake than where most people go and/or is the water lower than usual?

Hi Jane – I walked around the moraine to a small cove that is at the south end of the lake. I went there in the morning wanting to find a different view of the valley. The lake itself was very low then.
