Spring back into winter

At some time in the middle of night, clouds rolled in and the temperature dropped. This morning there was a couple of inches of heavy, wet snow covering Bragg Creek. I drove and walked along a couple of the country roads in West Bragg to photograph the landscape after what should be a short visit by the winter spirits.

They are all beautiful, but the robin is almost iconic for an Alberta spring.

It was funny this was one of about fifteen robins that were all hanging around together but only this one would stay still for a portrait. The others seemed to either be mad about the snow or having too much fun flying around together.

Your posts and photographs are always a highlight in my day! Really enjoying the photo of the robin in the snow-covered branches.
